Fundraising Ideas by Season

"Spring" into action and let your ideas "Fall" into place! No matter the season, we could always use your help! To get started, we're sharing some of our favorite ideas. Not seeing what you're looking for? Drop us a note at pa.diy@covenanthousepa.org.

Summer Fall All Year

WINTER

  • Host a Christmas carol cabaret - people can donate to sing a favorite song, nominate someone else to sing, or double-down to get out of their nomination!

  • See ya later peppermint mocha latte! Give up your treat drink for a winter month and donate the money you save to your campaign - encourage others to join you.

SPRING

  • Help Covenant House grow! Gather (or grow your own!) local produce, herbs, flowers, seeds, or succulents and sell them to raise money for your campaign.

  • Batter up! Host a Home Run derby in a local park and ask players and spectators to make a gift to your campaign.

SUMMER

  • Rally your friends to give up professional manis and pedis for the summer, and donate the money you save to your campaign! Host a DIY spa day for those who participate or donate.

  • Establish an office theme day on a summer Friday - suggest a donation amount to participate and a larger amount to opt-out, and provide snacks that fit with your theme!

FALL

  • Create a family Thanks-GIVING campaign.  Ask your network to share what they are thankful for when they make a contribution to your family’s fundraising page.

  • Throw a fall festival! Gather friends on a football Sunday for tailgate cook-offs, cornhole contests, or pumpkin carving, and donate entry “fees” to your campaign.

ALL YEAR

  • Take on a 30 day personal challenge - Yoga every day! New diet for the month! Finish a summer book list! - in solidarity with the challenges homeless kids overcome every day. Ask friends to support you by contributing to your campaign.

  • Ask a local bar to donate space for a cocktail mixology class or find a local coffee shop to teach a latte art class.  Charge for admission to the class.

  • Coordinate a Downtown Stroll that includes several stores and restaurants in a centrally located area - ask business owners to donate a portion of sales to your campaign and offer raffle prizes to increase foot traffic.
