Ready, set, Post!

Being left speechless is an amazing thing - but not if you're looking to fundraise. Not to worry. We created samples that are interesting, easy to read, and ready to post. Don’t see what you’re looking for? Let us know

ASKING FOR DONATIONS: BE SPECIFIC

People feel more connected when they know what they are helping to fund, so try offering donation amounts and what they represent:

Facebook: Every day, Covenant House Pennsylvania outreach specialists canvass the most dangerous neighborhoods in search of homeless kids. Fueling an outreach van costs about $35 per day - donate to my page to help keep vans on the street and kids off them. <insert personal campaign URL>

Twitter: Provide a week of meals to a @CovenantHousePA kid with a gift of $50. Please support my campaign for @CovenanthousePA <insert personal campaign URL>

ASKING FOR DONATIONS: GOAL-ORIENTED POSTS

Goal-oriented posts work, especially after you've collected approximately 1/3 of your goal. Try something like:

Facebook: With help from my generous friends, I've collected $X so far for Covenant House Pennsylvania, but I still need to raise $Y to reach my goal. I need 4 people to donate $Z today to provide a safe space for kids. Will you help me? <insert personal campaign URL>

Twitter: Update on progress, can’t believe how close I am to goal! Thanks for the support of @CovenanthousePA and me. There is still time to donate <insert personal campaign URL>

ASKING FOR DONATIONS: BE PICTURE PERFECT.

Think about the kinds of photos you already take, and figure out how to use them for a fundraising post:

#Foodstagram: Foodies! Add a caption to your pic letting followers know that $10 can feed a homeless kid for a day.

#LOTD: When sharing an outfit, also share that the most-requested item of clothing at Covenant House Pennsylvania -- “clean socks without holes, please.”

#Sunset: Who doesn’t love sharing an amazing view? Include an amazing stat - that thousands of kids can rest a little easier tonight because they have a safe place to sleep at Covenant House Pennsylvania.
